The Dainty Crumb Bakery offers designer cakes and shippable treats for any occasion. Our wonderfully talented cake artist is Nyasha Paul, a native of St. Lucia. As a child she spent a lot of time in the kitchen with her late grandmother, Thelma Seales affectionately known as  'Mum'- learning the technique of taste. Mum was renowned as a superb chef, baker, and candy maker in the islands and in America.

Nyasha soaked in much wisdom and joy from her 'Mum'- "Do things well the first time, so you won't have to do it over!" Sifting flour cup by cup, leveling teaspoons with a knife, ensuring that the butter was room temperature, not microwaved- seemed like agony at 9, but she was teaching how to execute with precision to guarantee proper taste. Together they watched Cake boss on TLC and the idea of fanciful confections was birthed. These engrained lessons continue to guide in her absence. A dainty, graceful woman; a swan. Her poise stands the test of time.  This bakery is my love letter to Mum.
